My Daylilies

It's already August and summer is almost over.  My daylilies were beautiful this year.  Here's some pictures of some of them.  I have over 90 different ones. 

My Garden Lady

In 2007 I decided to start a new flower garden.  I had help to do all the work involved and I like how it turned out.  As I was looking through gardening magazines I found one that had an unusual "scarecrow."  She was dressed as a lady.  I asked my husband if he could weld me a frame to put the dress and hat on.  The following pictures are how I dressed My Lady in the last 7 years.  Some of the dresses came from my closet.  Now I get them at thrift shops.

                                        This year I had a friend who was getting married.
                                    So, My Lady was a bridesmaid with pearls and a bouquet.

It's been 2 years since I've posted anything on my blog.  Someone reminded me that I hadn't posted for a while.  I'll have to see if I can rectify that. 

It's alreday June!!

Where does the time go??  It's already June 2nd and summer is well underway.  We had a great Memorial weekend up at the cabin but a little drama when my brother-in-law ended up in the hospital on Monday morning.  But all is well now. 

I have a lot of work to do in my flower gardens, but thought I would post a few pictures of what is blooming here. 

Friendships

Just got back from an evening with the best quilting friends!!  We've been getting together at each others houses for at least 15 years now.  We bring a little hand stitching along and have great fun just catching up on each others lives.  It's amazing what we have been thru.  Deaths of loved ones, divorces, remarriages, new grandbabies and going thru the change (not all of us yet).  What would I do without my friends???

I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted.  Nothing in the month of April at all.  Oh well, it was a busy month.  Dad's birthday party, my computer dying, and going to visit my 14 month old grandson and his parents of course, in Ann Arbor, MI.

My exciting news today is I have a brand new laptop computer!!  Yeah!!  I think I'm going to like it.

Tomorrow will be my dad's 90th birthday!!  I am so blessed to him in my life!!
